Employee Spotlight: Porfirio Villagomez

ABOUT

Porfirio Villagomez has been a part of our South Mill family for over 30 years. Porfirio, originally from Moroleon, Mexico, moved to the United States at the age of 27. He recalls a dark era in the community when groups of young vandals would walk around town assaulting people. He was attacked by a group and received a very nasty blow to his head. He says that he will never forget the experience and acknowledges the many positive changes that have occurred in Kennett since. Porfirio brought his wife, son and 2 daughters from Mexico to make a new life for them here. His daughters are now married and between the 2 of them, Porfirio has 6 grandchildren. During his free time, Porfirio enjoys working on his house and assisting with the chores. His wife, Rosa, works in our Packing Department. Thank you, Porfirio, for your many years of dedication to South Mill.
